Like sports, food, or special events like a haunted tour?

Naz Weekend is an annual three-day celebration for Nazareth students and their families, alumni, faculty, and staff. There’s something for everyone. It's a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends. There’s nothing I love more than being with my friends on a beautiful fall day.

Here are three things not to miss.

Naz Fest

Naz Fest is by far my favorite event of Naz Weekend because of the amazing food trucks (seriously so good), vendors, and local musicians.

After getting our free student vouchers to use at the Food Truck Rodeo, my friends darted to Macarollin while I went straight to the smoothie truck. They came back with some heavenly smelling barbecue pulled pork mac and cheese while I got to enjoy my strawberry banana smoothie.

The sheer amount of vendors astonished me — everything from crafts to live animals. I ended up getting a beautiful handmade ring from a former Naz alumni! While at the vendor fair I ended up running into the one and only President Beth Paul, and we got to chatting. She said her favorite part of Naz Fest was “meeting all the people and feeling Naz in them.”

Family events

It was heartwarming to see so many families together around campus during Naz Weekend. Naz Fest was definitely a huge hot spot for family fun, but there were other events they could go to as well.

One of these events was The Purple Party. (I know, sounds super fun right?) Families and friends could dance the night away to music from across the decades and enjoy even more food.

The Haunted History Tours around campus were a great way to get in the Halloween spirit early by learning about the history of Naz’s oldest buildings on campus.

Athletic events

It wouldn’t be Naz Weekend without some sort of athletic events for alumni and students. This included the 22nd annual Naz Athletics Golf Classic. It offered fun contests and events like closest to the pin holes, longest drive hole, hole-in-one, and giveaways.

Long story short, Naz Weekend is a must for you and your family when you come to Nazareth. You can find a countdown to next year’s festivities here, as well as a list of even more past events to get excited about.

If you want to find me this fall, I’ll be at the Food Truck Rodeo. See you there!
